Getting Pro-Life Legislation Takes Sweat And Grit

Great article to read to get some perspective on the dynamics of parental consent law. Of course this story is out of the US, specifically New Hampshire, but much can be learned from it. We not only get a glimpse at the history of parental consent legislation in that state but also the obstacles which that legislation faced due to “constitutionality” issues.

Here we see involvement of the pro-abortion activists (Planned Parenthood), Supreme Court and federal rulings, some state government dynamics, and the efforts of the pro-life movement.

The latest word on pro-life effort came earlier today from Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life [the largest US Catholic pro-life organization dedicated to ending abortion and euthanasia] who called on New Hampshire lawmakers to preserve and strengthen the state's parental notification statute.
